END OF THE YEAR RETREAT- THE JOY & LESSONS

Helllooooo blog fam💃🏻

It’s such a joy to be here this beautiful last Monday in 2021 💃🏻

Yas💃🏻

How times flies right? I wanted to quickly drop by to say Compliments of the season to you & yours (I hear this line is causing serious trouble ear & there on the internet😂😂) . Well here is wishing you Merry Christmas from me & mine 😅😂

I am framing this picture definitely, I love it!

If you didn’t get the pajamas memo this year, worry not o jere, JESUS is the reason for the season anyway ♥️😅😍

Seriously though, May this season bring to you 10 folds of your heart desire, amen!!!

Now to the brass tasks, shall we?

I took some time off for an end of the year retreat recently, it was amazing and I knew that not sharing my experience would be super SELFISH. It was too good to keep it to myself ☺️. So here I am— SHARING.

Get into a comfortable position now, will you? You are about to delve into a delectable snack ☺️. Ready? 👇

So I am a proud member of a group called The WILD WOMEN– and I registered for this group retreat organized by the amazing community. It was the best decision I made in November! As I was tilting towards disillusionment in some areas of my life.

It was a full 4 days away with scheduled activities for reflection, forward thinking, 2021 review and adequate planning for 2022. It was honestly the best!!!! And a major WIN for me was the staying-off gadgets requirement.

I was able to adhere to it and it helped me channel my focus. Wanna know the best part for me? STAYING OFF social media.

Although, It was hard on the first few days to actually not be able to come on Instagram or chat on WhatsApp, etc— but with the absence of those apps- I came to a mind-shifting realization- 24 hours a day is actually ENOUGH😅😆. (I had on multiple occasions this year felt like it wasn’t!)

24 hours a day is ENOUGH, especially if you spend them on important things.

And I would never do things the same way again😃

There is something oh-so rejuvenating about taking time off— you come back so refreshed and energized.

And if you, darling blog fam have been running on a thread-mill this year,
here is your gentle reminder to TAKE SOME TIME OFF to rest, review this current year and plan adequately for 2022.

This woman right here is super-charged & ready for 2022

Need help/ information on how to do an end of the year retreat? First, read about my experience and that of the other sisters on the WILD WOMEN website ( which BTW, I designed 😀🥰)

Wild Women Retreat

And secondly, Go through this END-OF-THE-YEAR RETREAT checklist that I curated based on what we did at the RETREAT.

Note: As important as points 1-3 are, 4 & 5 are the most important to the actualization your 2022 goals 🥰

And on expatiating on point 2-👇

The 6 major areas you should review are

  1. Your spiritual life– how well did you serve God this year? How is your relationship with Him ? What did you know now that you didn’t know last year? Review your character & passion for God
  2. Mental development & capacity: Did you acquire new information that was pivotal to your growth this year? How many books did you read? The ones that you read, how many did you apply? Did you develop your mind?
  3. Health: how well did you take care of your body? Are you fit? Was it junk all the way or you were team #cleaneating
Point of note here is – your body is the vehicle for all you desire to achieve in life, taking care of it should be top priority.
  4. Your assignment/ purpose: review your why in specific areas of your life. Are you still on track?
  5. Finances: how well did your finances fare in 2021. Review how well you are doing.
  6. Relationships: marital, career, etc. Who did you give access to this year that slowed you down your productivity? Who should you have given access to that would have improved your life?

Reviewing this this 6 major areas of life was painfully realistic for me. I was able to see clearly how I fared in 2021, and how the area of HEALH had the lowest score.

Some low scores punched me in the gut, some high scores gave me a sense of accomplishment & victory and overall, I am determined to do more/better in 2022.

And while setting 2022 goals for each of those areas, I narrowed it down to the barest minimum/ identified tasks to start from immediately- which brings me to point 3.

Make sure your 2022 goals are SMART

S- Specific

M- measurable

A- attainable

R- realistic

T- time-bound

And don’t stop at setting SMART GOALS, set yourself UP in a such a way that you have no choice than to achieve those goals.

I have set up my systems and currently test running them- I will be back with a blog about how efficient/ not-so-efficient they are. Hopefully it’s the former not the later.

I am super excited to watch the unfolding 💃🏻

If you need more resources & access to the mind-shifting resources that we used at the retreat, I strongly recommend you read this blog👇

That said, I pray the rest of 2021 will be best of 2021♥️

Happy Holidays!!!!
