How fast the months spedddd fast!
Kinda of why I am writing this blog post anyway, 7 weeks to the end of the year as a way it could make one feel and I wanted to share something with you.
So, I was going through my starred mails last week and saw this particular THANK YOU ONE from canva and I instantly remembered the proud moment I had that particular morning it came in my inbox

I had done/created 803 designs on canva as at 24th of October 2021. (Add about 50 + for the current count😃)
Honestly blog fam, I can’t even begin to tell you how proud I felt reading this, not only because of how good I have now become with graphics designing but because it was from graphics designing that my love from web design stemmed from.
Web design— with which I have done so many strides in the past months
Just a lil over a year after I made my first design on canva.
My “designing” journey started at the peak of Covid last year.
As I am sure you already know, events were on lockdown; and with clients postponing/ cancelling their events here & there… I soon found myself antsy about my idleness… And I made my first real design one day.
And many months later, an entire business line was birthed due to that singular act last year.
What is the essense of this story?
Well, I believe it’s for someone who is wondering what they could be doing now in a seemingly dry season.
The truth about dry seasons is that they have been known to be seasons people find themselves most and for me, it was immensely true. I believe it could be for you too.
I want you to right now look around where you are, do what your hand finds well and watch things begin to turn around for you.
And take this as your subtle reminder to
start that project
stay consistent with that business idea
Write that book
Launch that idea… etc
And remember that It may neccesarily not be super associated or inclined with “your future aspiration”
How it connects isn’t yours to figure out.
Graphics design was by no way connected to event planning (my known & loved field of work/ area of specialization), but it birthed my love for web design which in turn birthed a new business/my youngest baby company- Designs by DA…
and just recently on 2 different occasions, I was able to connect what we do at Designs by DA with what we do at Rightessential events when we created the 2 state-of-the-art wedding website.

All I did was download the canva app and started with a design…
